Shoes and the Sunshine Coast may seem somewhat of an odd couple, like socks and sand or Cher and Tom Cruise. But then again menswear label Jamie Famecouldn’t be further from your cliched surfer style anyway. Despite hailing from the sandy streets of the northern beach town, the downtrodden menswear label looks more suited to a Melbourne laneway than the Big Pineapple.
The biggest giveaway is the label’s shoes. There’s no mistaking what climate they’re made for. From distressed leather to suede desert boots, Jamie Fame’s footwear could easily see you survive the harsh elements, from walking against the Wizard of Oz worthy winds on George Street to innocently witnessing a glassing at a Valley pub. Yep, while your brain may be shit scared, you’re toes will be like ‘its all good baby,’ in a smooth James Brown-esque accent.
Our favourites are the softly distressed brown leatherSixxth boot, although we’re also partial to the chocolate chukka style of The Cover of Darkness boot too. We’re hot-footing it with Jamie’s toe-warming shoes these next few chilly months.
